okay, i'm not usually one to rise to these cheap tactics, but david's is one of the few opinions that's worth a damn in my book. i went through my active pile and picked out the front-most bunch of records that are closest to electro: bjork: alarm call (matmos mixes) [one little indian] anton price: prom [tryptamine] maarten & tjeerd: lunetten e.p. [u-trax] el stew 10" [om] autophonic 10" [djak up-bitch] susanne brokesch: sharing the sunhat [disko-b] timbaland: lobster & scrimp/who am i [blackground/atlantic] cosmic force: robot poetry [clone] carl finlow: electrocide [scsi] deep space network: meets higher intelligence agency [source] ectomorph: abstraction [interdimensional transmissions] clatterbox: 2x10" [clear] klystron: vitrom [riot city] twilight 22: electric kingdom/siberian knights [hot classics] detroit: beyond the third wave (compilation) [astralwerks] not all electro, most older than a month. i can't say that any of it sounds like jedi knights (other than twilight 22), but it's pretty much the state of '99 electro as i see it. :) eric onnow: scsi bus resets (quantum/symbios)
