I just got an older Jammin'Unit CD, "deaf, dub and blind" and it really cool, and really good ! By the way, I think there's a newer release by him, is it any good ? You can also look at some Basic Channel/Chain Reaction CD's, I recommend Porter Ricks with "Biokinetics", Maurizio, with the M series CD. Bill Laswell may be one of the reference for eclectic dub music, check the Divination series ( more ambient ), or the work he did with Style Scott, "Dub Meltdown" on the WordSound label. Most of Laswell work include some sort of "dubby" sequence, good or bad, it's there! You can go in the "DreadZone" direction, with more vocals; "...360" and "Second Light" and a blend of a lot of different styles. Some of "the Orb" can be called dub; "tower of dub" is an example... That's all I can recommend for now ! --- Maximilien Lincourt, B. info., Software developer mailto:max@toonboom.com http://www.toonboom.com
