Wednesday, February 3rd, 8-10pm - Bassland Performs Live Bid farewell to one of Orange County's favorite acts. Considered to be the best kept secret of Orange County's explosive electronic music scene, Alex and Stuart have decided to persue musical projects seperately. The duo have performed on Space Disco For Fish Tacos about 15 times, so it's only fitting that thier last performance of all be on the program. Thier last public live performance as Bassland was Saturday at Vibequest, where they performed 2 sets, one dance set and one experimental set, which closed witth a new rendition of thier vocal track "This never Happened." Wednesday, February 10th, 8-10pm - George Sarah of THC Ambient Performance George Sarah has taken on many faces with THC, from trance to drum n' bass to vocal trip hop with a string quartet. In doing this, he seldom has a chance to perform his ambient material. Tune in for this rare set, including a special version of my favorite Cathexis track, Manatee. (Cathexis is George from THC and Dean From Surface 10). Wednesday February 17th, 8-10pm - L'usine Performs Live Radio virgin L'usine (pronounced lou-zine) performs live for the first time on Space Disco for Fish Tacos. His demo contains new IDM material that doesn't fall into the trap of copying well established artists. Tune in to check it out, besause this is an artist you'll probably be seeing around more often. Space Disco For Fish Tacos has been on the air for three years, featuring weekly live performances and interviews by electronic musicians from southern California and abroad. Tune in every Wednesday evening from 8-10pm on KUCI 88.9fm, broadcasting at 200 watts to the greater Orange County area. KUCI is also broadcast on the net 24 hours a day at www.kuci.org. Some past guests have included (In no particular order): Mixmaster Morris, Barry Ashworth (of The Dub Pistols), Pole, Scion, Vanqueur, Substance, Ben Neill, Uberzone, Electric Skychurch, Bassland, Skylab2000, 2012, Mushroom Nation, X-Calibur, Gearwhore, Paxwo, Hive, Surface 10, Variance, THC, Mark Trance's Deep, Cathexis, Sumi, Quadra, Tipsy, Lecanoscope, Control X, Front BC, Liqui-Fly, Mental Blox, Arjuna, Dimension 23, Liquid Mind Warp, Bleu, Entrancing Iris, Phthalocyanine, John Tejada, Robert Rich, Hazel Window, Your Choroid Coat, Low Res, Not Breathing, The Angel, 2 Silver Boxes vs. Scatterbrain, 2 Silver Boxes vs. Ultrawide, The Electric Company, A Produce, Max Vaxx & The Rain People (and the list keeps growing). KUCI Is a closed studio, which means we are not equipped to have an audience, so please don't ask to come down. Exceptions have been few and far between, but due to recent theft problems I will definitely not be allowing people to come down for the show. Whereas nothing has been stolen during my show, I intend to keep it that way. In addition, I am not able to make copies of live performances for listeners. I understand that people out of KUCI's signal want to get a hold of some of the live performances that I have, but those performances are the property of the artist and out of respect for them I cannot make duplications. However, once the signal is released from our transmitter, I have no control over listeners making duplications. -Daniel daniel@peachfuzz.net ============================================================================== Peach Space Disco For Fish Tacos PO Box 1902 8-10pm Wednesdays, KUCI 88.9fm Huntington Beach, CA 92647 www.peachfuzz.net/space www.peachfuzz.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sterile: Orange County's Intelligent Electronic Monthly www.peachfuzz.net/sterile ============================================================================== "A lot of people just talk out of their ass, I happen to fall under that category" -Dana Watanabe
