Hmmn, ok. I can jump in I suppose.
First vinyl : Duran Duran, Union of the Snake (Which I bought for
the exquisite track "Sekret Oktober" which is on the
b-side).
First CDs : Tori Amos "Little Earthquakes" and NIN "Broken".
First IDM : Aphex Twin, I care because you do.
Though I didn't really get into the genre properly until a short period
in which a friend played Orbital's "The Box" (long version) and I was
introduced to Autechre via Tri Repetae & Amber (which I borrowed
for months on end.)
Then, my SO introduced me to the vast amount of music I listen to now...
my bookcase is full of CDs... I am slowly aquiring vinyl...
