Um, Chain Reaction isn't part of the Cologne camp. The label is based in Berlin, and the artists are from all over Europe. I'd also agree with what you say regarding the majority of the Cologne techno, but not with regards CR stuff. In particular, I still listen to their Porter Ricks, Various Artists and Monolake releases quite often. To my ears, the sound design in the CR stuff is so fundamental to the music (and so packed with interest!) that there's no way I could consider it light on ideas.
