the most meaningless part of a consitantly meaningless argument. people like vinyl, for the same reason they like little cuddly wuzzy fuzz bunnies. there is no reason. you're anthropomorphizing a recording medium. records are no more human than cds. as for the sound quality: i laugh at the man who thinks that music recorded digitally (like much of what's talked about here) can possibly sound better on an analog medium. different, maybe, but degraded from the original. the only reason to have a record player: to play music not available on CD. i will trade my GAK 12" for the CD single if anyone's got it.
