if you're in the san francisco area, turn on 98.1 FM. for the past
two days there's been nothing but a weird gonging sound and electronic
ticking, occasionally overlaid with samples from well known science
fiction movies or tv shows.
usually that's a classic rock station... now it's like eno on acid or
something.
