Just picked up the new Amon Tobin 2x12" on ninjatune and I am impressed. It an
amazing eclectic mix of downtempo, trip hop and drum&bass. At times its jazzy,
funky, hardstep, even samba. Thge breaks are very strained and tight. At
times disappearing and coming subtly back. The bass is low and loud. Not a
single bad cut on the whole thing. If you liked hard normal daddy you'll love
this. It doesn't have the extreme cut up breaks but it certainly is moving in
new directions.
Any one who thinks breaks is dead should buy this and eat their words.
