recently every mention of mike paradinas's albums mu-ziq: 'urmur bile trax' and his jake slazenger: 'das ist ein groovybeat, ja' has been bad. i have heard people say that his first albums were much better and that these recent ones are crap: listen to this: "'ok his first 2 albums were good..but he?s treading water now isn't he?' i would be the first to argue that the jake slazenger, gary mocheles & umur bile trax project were austere examples of an artist resting on his metaphysical laurels." i do not agree with this at all! the jake slazenger album is one of the grooviest, funkiest, jazziest things i have come across.. and urmur bile is some of the most varied and creative breakbeat i have ever heard.. and mike&rich is probably my favorite album that i have right now.. (it falls into his slazenger or mocheles mood a bit) for those of you who do not like these, why!? grav
