Hey..
Just dropping some reviews of the promo's last couple of weeks..

Adora. - Feels so good - (Freudenhouse (cat# FH 96-04))
(12")
As Tob have said before, this one grows on me all the time.. First
listen I thought it was so so, but now, well lets say I'll play it out
a lot.. With mixes from DJ Linus, DJ T.B.A. and Black T, there's mixes
in there for each flavor. Black T' s extended is a garage mix with
loads of pianos, strings and the vocal (that I first thought was weak
but now loves).. The original is another garage styled mix which I
think could be some BPM's slower.. sounds like it's pitched a pit to
high.. On the other side the Linus on the mute mix is just what it
says, a monoton, harder side of the trak.. Not my fav. but still
good.. Then there's the DJ T.B.A. mix that's a organ and bass driven
discoish styled mix that's also going to be played by me a lot as a
change to the Black T mix..

TJ's presents - Funky Fruits.. - (Freudenhouse (cat# FH 96-05))
(12")
Yeahhhhh, more house from Hamburg.. I'll start on the b-side as that's
where my fav.tunes are :) #1, "deeper", is a dubby track with a dark
female voice saying deepah go deepah and excellent drumworks..Very
deep.. #2 is "Get up".. A track with the same get up dample as in the
Byron Stingly trak and this one kicks ass I'll tell ya.. If you
listened to Norbert Borchers dj mix in the soundsource, you might have
heard it in there.. GET it :) On the other side the "Jazz Thang" is a
somewhat blurry jazzy tune.. Not the best I've heard in this style..
and then there's the "Hear the beat" which is an organ driven house
workout with great drums and, well it's not bad at all.. Kind
Tribalish Keeps me smiling..

Various. - demonstrations Vol. 1 - (Black Strobe recordings.)
(2x12")
This is the first release from this Swedish imprint.. It has trax from
various artists that have sent a demo to the radio show Radio HQ in
Gothenburg and almost all of the first cuts on each side is killer
minimal works.. This will work wonders on the dancefloors everywhere I
spin it, I'll assure you of that :) Other styles on there is more
minimal, downbeat experimental stuff, but it's the first cuts that's
making it to my heart.. It's released in 1200 cd's and only 300 12",
so good luck in finding it.. It's distributed via Border in Sweden..
(see www.border.se for more info?)
