too damn right. well, gonzi, i have got one thing to say to you: try
running your own record label some time. put out your favorite niche
music. sell the singles for $4. go out of business quickly.
have a nice life.

let's see, you don't want to help pay for the operating expenses. you
just want them to put out stuff at a price that you feel comfortable
with but doesn't make them any money. very nice of you. can i just
ask what color the sky is in your world?

how did you arrive at this conclusion? they have one of the best
distribution channels of any indie label in the US.

i can't even begin to imagine what this means.

you've audited their books, have you?

you mean when their consumers say "hey, drop the prices on your stuff
to the point where you start losing money?"

honestly i don't know. maybe they're just more willing to take a bath
on it for the sake of promotion. FFRR at least are owned by polygram,
they can probably afford it... as for the old days, well, restless &
wax trax went out of business - so there's the success of your pricing
scheme right there. nettwerk CD singles today are more like $8 or
$9...
