Yep, I'd have to agree with Dana, packed wall to wall with people, it gets kind of scary sometimes! But what a night! After getting bounced around like a pinball for an hour, I found a clear spot on one of the staircases and watched with amazement at the turntable trickery of Strictly Kev and PC. These guys put on one of (if not THE) best 2x4 shows I've seen, period! Two records mixed, two records scratching, most of the time! Wonderful stuff! Then my stairway position became overcrowded, as was everywhere else in the dive...I escaped to the front entrance and found the only free seat in the place, behind the doorgirl. Hiding out there, I had a chance to just relax, enjoy the music and just watch people! Then morris went on and proceeded to play his patented style of wacky jungle, including Squarepusher, Tpower, Photek and all the other stuff I love. About 20 minutes in to his set, I was amazed (but not surprised) at the large number of people making a hasty retreat out the door! Their loss AFAIK... This made for a bit more room to breath, so once again, I ventured into the shallow smoke filled depths of Louies... Upon going back upstairs, I was delighted to see one of the ninja boys (kev I think) working the other pair of decks with morris and doing some sweet scratching/sample dropping! Their set wound it's way down to some chill-e-chill ambient grooves and at that time I had a chance to talk to a few of the people milling around. Much to my surprise, I had the good fortune to meet and talk to a few fellow SCR/IDM listers! Overall, It's was a pretty amazing night, full of great music and some of the best DJ's in the world. It's always a pleasure to have morris in town and with the ninja's in tow, it's even sweeter! Props out to all the people who made this possible! word to the mothership, brock Ps. If you missed them last night, they're all going to be at 7th heaven tonight. Strictly Kev and PC are up around midnight and morris wasn't sure, but thought he'd be on around 4:00am. I'll be there!
