I know this is the HTML & Web page design list, but I'd like to throw in $0.02. Whenever a user agent (i.e. browser) makes a request, it tells the server which browser it is, and which version. So if the browser tells you it is Netscape and the version is 2.0 or higher, you can sent it a page with frames and javascript and all supported bells & whistles. Otherwise send a page with "just the facts, ma'am". Anyone who works with computers should keep in mind the concept of "backward compatibility". obIDM: Got a pre-release copy of the upcoming Richard H. Kirk release on his Alphaphone label -- Nitrogen, _Intoxica_ 2CD. Kirk's name does not appear on the outside of the package, only inside the booklet. Further details forthcoming. This is supposed to be out in February, though a few copies are floating around. --Mark __ <http://www.xnet.com/~mkolmar/BurningRome> ==> MPEG audio clips <== m u s i c : w e b : s o u n d d e s i g n : h t m l : c g i : e t c "We invented machines in order to reduce our work.
