greetings people a few mutterings to while away a few seconds..... news of spymania #4 has reached us.... Spymania All Stars- "Avit" is a show case ep , with 6 artists featured track listing Alvis Parsley - Blue Suede Doo Doo Si Begg (aka Cabbage Boy/Buckfunk 3000) - Third Wave V.2 Wafta - What About the Leopard? Tight Pac - We Cut Men's Hair Paddington Breaks - Where's Frank? Modi Jedson - King Size Rolly and no we don't know if any of them are Tom Jenkinson!, bizzare names tho....street date 4/11 Meat Beat Manifesto's new single "It's the Music" features the Luke Vibert remix ,of 'Asbestos Lead Asbestos'....out 4/11 New Volume compilation - 'Breakbeat Science' features unreleased cuts by Boymerang 'Blue Notes' , Plug - 'Dark Matter' , Witchman- 'Burnin Headz', Phume 'Movin On' as well as host of more mainstream drum n bassers...... wot about the Aphex album then? - 32 minutes retailing as a full price album - and one of the cuts was on the Girl/Boy ep? mmm........ My personal opinion on the album is indifferent , it really is too short and sounds like a collection of unfinished ideas , no track is much longer than 3 minutes, you would think if he had supposedly hundreds of tracks un released - he could come up with something more satisfying than this.... it strikes me as being run of the mill aphex and the words being bandied about amongst us about it are mundane , pedestrian and lacking in any cohesion. , i have followed afx since day one and find myself becoming disillusioned with the 'wacky' pop star image and half baked tracks , school report - must try harder. back to the grindstone sm @ 4th world *cutting edge mail order* http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/4thworld
