late morning thoughts for a wednesday afternoon. album length. why are they
getting to be so short? i know there are people who don't have a problem with
this, as long as there's thirty minutes of quality. to an extent, i agree, but i
can hardly believe that richard james only has thirty minutes of quality stuff
that he can put on a new album. and the bochum welt is only twenty-six minutes
(i know this has already been mentioned...). why is full price being charged for
stuff like this? it would be bad enough paying $15US for it, but since it's an
import, i have to shell out $20. i don't mind spending $20 on an album (jake
slaz, cylob [only 48 min, but fabulous... besides 48 isn't anywhere near as
short as 30], red snapper), as long as i have some stuff to listen to. i'm sure
i'll get the new aphex as soon as possible (i.e. not waiting for the US release)
but i guess i'd be happier if there were more tracks or length or something.
hopefully it will totally blow me away and i won't even notice that it's
finished after a half an hour. i guess we'll see. hmm... that seems to be it for
