Speaking of idm and magazines, I was wondering what people think are good idm- centered magazines to get a subscription to here in the USA. I've read Muzik, but it's sorta overwhelming and maybe a little too club-centered. What's this Urb all about? Are there any magazines that concentrate almost strictly on listening techno, crazy electronica, and idm? Thanks for any input, Brian _______________________________________________________________________________ Subject: Re: (idm) You ain't gonna believe this one... From: marmoset@mich.com at X500 Date: 9/16/96 5:02 pm :Squarepusher and Plug in Rolling Stone...can a cover be far behind? Oh, :and there's a profile on Underworld in it too. Odd that no one's mentioned the current Spin, with Rage Against The Breadmachine And Its Infernal Muffins on the cover. There's a series of stories (nearly 10 pages), under the banner _Drums and Wires_. They seem quite concerned about what it will take to make electronica mainstream in the Yoo Ess Ayyy. They vote for glitzy stage shows and vocals, of course... Yr. money's probably better spent on the latest Urb with Juan Atkins on the cover, though. ---------------------------------------------------------- dave walker, network support specialist detroit art services <marmoset@mich.com> ---------------------------------------------------------- on now: Burial Mix 01
