this might not be the best place to ask but, does anyone have any suggestions for records with Fat ass-analogy looping sounds that go on for 30 seconds or so. I am hoping the cylob loops and breaks might fill they need. I have tried the dj rectangles, and the booger breaks. I occassionaly find them in between songs on techno records such as an old Tone Def record on moving shadow, and a record by Baby B, and there is the Jedi Knights double pack with the shit at the end, but that is not really thick enough. Please don't say Pure Phase Tones by Spiritualized, what a piece of shit that thing is! I know there are records out there cause I have seen hip hop dj's using the thick loops. Fat chance, but I will ask: If anyone has seen the DMC mixing finals for 1995, I would kill to know the records that Mixmaster Mike? (not the asain dude, but the mexican looking guy who was with Q-bert? (asain dude)) were using, and then also the one that DJ Noise uses along that Westbam song, anyone have any ideas? obidm: Saw a video by Robert Miles-that was purely instrumental on MTV, some euro techno trance shit, not too great but quite a change from the usual pap they play. thanks, Spanky Spangler P.s. Droneandbass- I am still digging but I will find the nugget you seek.
