Headstates is alright. I dunno, I was a bit disappointed. Slam always seems to come up with 2-3 completely great songs on an album but leave the rest of the album to just being mediocre. With the previous album "snapshots" for example, there was "Groovelock" "Spirit" and a couple of others that were great. The rest were just blah imo. Same with headstates, except the blah tracks are really blah, and there aren't any stand-out great works like they've done in the past. I can't be all negative to it though, if I had the album next to me I'd list off the 3 songs I do like on it. I just think they'd be better off trimming the fat and releasing EPs.
