one of my best friends used to write for Sassy. back in those days they
were pretty subversive for a "teenage girl" magazine. (if THAT version of
sassy had written about raves, it would have been Thumbs Up all the way.)
then they got bought out by a big publisher and all the original staff was
fired and the content was completely watered down.
