Hey, why didn't you tell everyone who you are? I'm about to post my bio
RIGHT NOW! Has this list absolutely gone to hell or what? It's an idiot
fest. I'd start my own damned list if I could. It would take at least
another week or two for everyone to jump on that bandwagon. Anyway,
back to our topic:
I thought I was about the only person on this list who appreciates the
old stuff, especially FAX. I've done a lot of re-listening to my
collection and found some absolute gems I never noticed. What, was I
stupid?! As for the FAX stuff, it's really hard to find stuff by them.
Namlook doesn't do anything for Rising High anymore. Supposedly he got
mad because they filtered out too much bass. He doesn't really put out
the melodic, trancy or hard stuff anymore. The only thing I can find
from him now is REALLY ambient stuff. In the past year, I've ran across
a total of 5 trancy discs by the guy. And I looked high and low. You
know what you can try, though, is OM by Tetsu Inoue. This one is on
MicMac/ C&S and you can find it everywhere, even at Best Buy. It's
AWESOME. I hear the stuff he did on FAX was just as incredible too, but
I haven't seen it yet. Besides, I can't really afford to pay 25 bucks
for single CDs these days. But check it out though. You might also want
to check out some stuff by Oliver Lieb. He's great. He is Spicelab,
LSG and Ambush. Ambush is really excellent tribal drum extravaganzas.
LSG is a lot like the melodic, hypnotic Namlook stuff, if not better.
Spicelab is really hypnotic, spacey HARD trance. Excellent.
Hope you like.
