I picked this one up purely on the basis of Greg playing me _Eutow_. And I
think it's got to be one of the LPs of the year. It's intractable as hell on
the first few listens, but the Gescom boys are layering moods and rhythms so
subtly, it sort of oozes out at you. I like _Incunabula_, but I also like
the way in which Autechre have taken apart the simplicity of that LP and
worked on their sound, espcially the rhythms. It might be an awkward LP to
listen to but there's quiet genius behind these tracks - the shuffling,
hissy beats and grimy grooves on _Stud_ are totally atmospheric and that
bending bass patch on _Clipper_ is just gorgeous. And of course _Eutow_ is
incredible. Understated surprise of the year, this one.

That'd be Internal.
