What I couldn't believe from the show was they actually mentioned Afrika
Bambaataa stealing Kraftwerk's Trance Europe Express from the 70s to make
Planet Rock (82). I mean, all of us from the 'old school' know that this
is true but if you watch shows like mtv and they do similar shows, you
won't hear that. Just that he's one of the pioneers of techno and funk
here in the US. Well I'm glad Kraftwerk, and New Order for that
matter, actually recieved some credit.
I still can't believe they showed The Orb near the end. That was awesome.
I thought they should have showed 808 State in there somewhere. I realize
they only had an hour for the show but still, I think they're important
in the Techno scene.
I was also surprised they didn't metion 2 Live Crew in their banned
segment. Back then, here in the Bible Belt, the 2 Live Crew was
criticized more than the Beastie Boys.
Anyway, overall a good show.
