Sorry. I thought somebody else might pipe in.

Air Liquide are Jammin' Unit and Walker from Germany (Can Oral and Ingmar _hmm I forget his last name is it Koch?_ respectively). Ingmar has been the man behind a slew of VERY interesting labels from Germany including Structure, DJungle Fever, Blue (the original home of Air Liquide), and the newer Mille Plateau (among many others). I believe that Can has since left Air Liquide (I know that he now lives in Berlin). Cem's brother (I've heard they are related), Kahn, runs a record store in New York and also records often with Ingmar (Walker). To directly answer your question, I would guess yes. Most of the Sm:)e releases are licensed, previously released material. Most of these original releases are very hard to find though. I know that there was an Air Liquide release on Rising High that also was licensed to Sm:)e. I'm pretty sure there are a couple of Air Liquide releases on Sm:)e. I have the Mercury EP and Robot Wars as well as another double 10" with a dragonfly or something on it (I forget the name). I also have a couple of limited pressings of Air Liquide on Blue. They have tons of shit out. Keep a look out and I'm sure you'll find something.

Hardkiss was a party that sprang up in San Francisco in the early days of the scene here. All of the DJ's a promoters involved tack Hardkiss on the end of their name (like Scott Hardkiss in this case). There's Gavin, Scott and Robbie that I can remember from heart. They started a label together called Hardkiss Music. All of the original releases were pretty much written and produced by our list friend Jon Drukman and another chap Jeff Taylor. Because of bitter tension from miscrediting the releases, the Hardkisses and the Ultraviolet crew (I like to affectionatley call them) split forces and now Hardkiss are on their own. IMO the best Hardkiss tracks are the early ones including: Ultraviolet Catastrophe - The Trip Hawke - 3 Nudes In A Purlpe Garden God Within (not a good as the previous two) If you're like me then you'll like Deluxe. This is material written and produced by Jeff Taylor. There's a full length and some singles remixed by the likes of Freaky Chakra and Young American Primitive all on Ultraviolet Recordings. Also check out the Bass Kittens single (written by Jon of course) for some more good funky electronic stuff. If you'd like to talk with either Hardkiss Music or Ultraviolet Recordings you can call information in San Francisco. -robert --> __ _ _ _____ _____ _____ / _\ | || || _ \|_ _|/ _ \ / /_\\ | -- || |_) | _| |_ | (_) | ______________ /______\\____/|_____/|_____|\_____/ ( *electronic* )
