Oh christ, if you're a BC fan than YOU NEED M-04. M-4.5 is just a
lengthening of the same track on one side, and a 20 second version of it on
flip side. (So M-4.5 is a collectors novelty, but not essential).
But I put M-04 as one of the best records I've bought this year, for sure.
No cheesey hooks or gimmicks - just solid, straight up Basic Channel-style
house. An incredible, incredible track. DJ's had been giving this record
much play at Detroit underground parties, a floor-filler every time. If
you get two of these and phase them... whewww, you will open a time-portal
to Jupiter in front of the turntables. So make sure to tell people to
stand back a little bit when you play them. :)
"BC records don't get dated," I liked that. Don't forget about "Octagon"
either.
peace
