I went once to a hardcore party in NYC which had a bunch of people
bouncing on trampolines (sic?)!!!
I was so tripped out that I couldn't stop laughing. It just looked so
whack with this crazy Rotterdam Gabber playing and kids bouncing on
trampolines.
I proceeded to the "ambient" basement which was completely covered in
Mylar (tables and everything). Everything was silver and my friend, DJ
Reade Truth, proceeded to tell me it looked like an elephant washing station.
Ugh. Too much Lotus!
Actually there was a group of trippers in NYC that did these crazy
installations but I forget their name. The music was pretty shitty but
they did things like huge mechanical waterfalls and such. Pretty cool
actually. Wish they got some people who could provide equally cool tunes
though.
