Two points and an obIDM: (1) Duran Duran didn't stand for anything in the eighties. They were a pop music band. They still are. Their output is fluff. (I happen to like them, but I like pop-music-fluff sometimes.) (2) Grandmaster Flash and Melle Mel readily admit to having been cocaine addicts when they wrote and recorded this song originally. Hypocrites? ObIDM: Thanks to all who recommended the St. Etienne single to me. It's very enjoyable, though the Dust Bros. mix was a little disappointing. - Adam J Weitzman Individual, Inc. weitzman@individual.com "Music, music, everywhere, but not a drop to drink." - Little Annie
