after encouragement from alan, teep and chris i am posting a top 5 list and introduction. so, hello! my name is jill. i've recently moved to berkeley, ca from massachusetts. i got into techno/raves about a year ago. up to then, i had not thought much of electronic music. i played trombone and thought all music shouldn't be 'synthesized'. i was into classical music, musicals etc. i grew up on cape cod where there was NO scene for techno whatsoever so i didnt get exposed to it until college. now, however, i enjoy electronic music immensely. there is so much music out there that i can always find something to fit my mood, from ambient to hardcore to breaks to idm. i don't have much of a collection yet, but i am working on it. i've been kinda low on cash lately, so my budding collection has been put on the back shelf. fortunately berkeley has some great stores that sell used cd's and my boyfriend has a pretty large collection that i may borrow from anytime. (although his collection is devoid of some of the harder stuff that i like :) i don't really have a favorite album, so to speak. these are the albums that have been frequenting my cd player as of late. "Amarok" Mike Oldfield "Selected Ambient Works II" Aphex Twin "The Brown Album" Orbital "FSOL" ISDN "Bytes" Black Dog
