Hello, I wanted to ask your advice.. I am looking for a blog module to add to my already existing music website. Looking for something that is as clean looking and as easy to use as blogger (for instance), that I can install and integrate into my own site. If it is freeware thats even better. There are a lot out there, and some are better and more secure than others, so just wanted to ask what you use and/or might suggest.. Thanks much Eric Roth eroth001@aol.com

A friend of mine helped me with the design and setup of my site -- emulsionmusic.com and on his advice we actually integrated a blogger page into the site. I just wanted a simple easily accessible interface for maintaining the front/news page - and that's what I got. (Although I would love to hear about free, cheap and open source options for DIY, especially as I'd like to expand into a full-fledged blog at some point rather than just "emulsion news.") nathan On Jan 8, 2006, at 9:38 PM, EROTH001@aol.com wrote:

yeah, wordpress is where it's at. I was once a blogspot/blogger.com user @ thewitnessexchange.net until I found that it was just too limited. Wordpress is easy to use, free and entirely customizable. It even offers import 'tools' for transfering from other blog hosting services to make the transition that much smoother and the user forums and support are amazing. To get you started there are many, many 'skins' (or themes) available and plenty of plugins for everything from Flickr integration to random post blocks. A light knowledge of html/php/css will make things a tad easier but I didn't know anything about any of it until Wordpress came along anyway and proved to be a great way to familarize yourself with those languages. Sounds like exactly the thing you are looking for. good luck, Dakota @ TWX --- joshua twentythree <joshua@ropeswingcities.com> wrote:
