Ok, well... for Merzbow if you are lazy just get something put out by Relapse. If you don't mind going the extra mile for good noise then try to find Noisembryo or Greenwheels both are brutal and interesting and Greenwheels comes with an extra 5" vinyl single and all the track titles are stupid and funny. Another amazing recording is New Takamagahara which is deep spacy moog and theremin noise. I've got some of the more recent stuff and I got a few really old tapes recently but haven't had a chance to go over them, but older stuff is usually much less dense clangy noise improv and newer stuff is digital crispy loops... For other noise stuff try Hijokaidan or Incapacitants for wall of noise brutality. For more dynamic works go for Government Alpha, or K2. All are fantastic (unfortunately Alpha really likes high pitched stuff, I prefer crunchy bass sounds), except stay away from live recordings unless you are a diehard nerd... like me... they are usually far less dynamic and have inferior sound quality. If you want spacy noise search out works by ex CCCC member Hiroshi Hasegawa's project ASTRO, deep minimal trance inducing stuff. I'll be releasing a CDR of his soon on my label. Buy it. If you want random weirdness go for Gerogerigegege which runs the gamut from noise to piano improv to grindcore to field recordings. Finally if you want guitar noise (not that interesting to me, but...) try Solmania. Hope that helps a bit.
