I read the COSMOS book several years ago in my early teens, but it wasn't until now that I've finally gotten my hands on the famous TV-series, hosted by Carl Sagan --- the DVD collector's edition is readily available around the world. As I began watching the first one-hour episode I was quite excited I must admit, but soon doubly so: In the introduction I thought I could recognize the musical theme. Indeed! Autechre have used a loop in at least one of their live-shows (I've heard one from once they played in NYC). Being quite humoured, I continued watching. I've only gotten seen episodes 1 and 2, but before going to work today I caught a few minutes of episode 3. Heh, and to my growing excitement I found that during a discussion on modern pseudo-science astrology, the music in the background was the one that Boards of Canada had used as a beat and bass loop in "Aquarius"! Heh. Gives a good reason for their choice of songtitle. I haven't seen the whole series yet, but I hope I'm in for more surprises.
