I've got this one up for trade or sale. It'll be released early June on Thrill Jockey. Lots of experimental sounds floating around peacefully, similar to Disc, Oval and Pole. Looks like Jim O'Rourke worked on this one as well.. Although i'm not satisfied with the output, it does have some highlights. Smooth headphone music for sleepyheads... Don't you hate it when you don't see the CC and send a private message to the list. Dumb brain... anyhow, haven't seen anyone mention this: Pan Sonic B where A was more ambient in nature, B is pounding and unstoppable. Some of the tracks could loosely be defined as techno. I am not even sure if I would classify all the tracks as songs. Some are no more than loops but they work very well. In an interview Pan Sonic said that this release would be harsh and pounding. I disagree. It is pounding but it isn't overly harsh. Some of it is even danceable (that is if your audience has an open mind). I find the release almost as rewarding as A. B is a litte more simplestic in nature but the effect is very nice. -daniel Head Monkey Mad Monkey Records http://monkey.eliteware.com
