... or how crunchy beats (someone called it "the sound of sizzling bacon") get into britpop. _chemicals_ by a band called _the notwist_ (which i think are british, they sound british anyway), starts of with an intro of pure ae/funkstorung stuttering bleeps with some extremely nasal vocals on top. the track develops into a britpop-ish track with a catchy chorus, but the intro sticks in my mind ... maybe they are part-time idm-addicts or some of our beloved artists / sounds are making their way into other music genres and possible the general public ... just a thought, nothing really relevant. dv8 (back to lurking)

They put out their records and labels like Hausmusik (which does not release any house music from what I can tell) and Kollaps. Bob
