http://www.eff.org/IP/P2P/MGM_v_Grokster/ I'd say there is a safe bet that although, according to the obtuse rulings of the supreme court, most of these p2p networks can now be sued into non-existence. However, considering the nature of p2p, both the software and the network are already setup and distributed, so there efforts are mostly [IMO] in vain. I would just say be weary of what folders you consider sharing on any network, especially if you are worried about the RIAA witch hunt. IMO limewire/slsk have become the best outlets for creative discovery as of late anyway. OH, and go to your local independent music store and check the used racks as well......if the horrible .mp3 sound doesn't fit your goat. d From: "nat hawks" <natbot@hotmail.com> Subject: Re: [idm] limewire safety question... Message-ID: <BAY104-F2972033A8FBAA48CA44CA1CDB20@phx.gbl> so, if i'm trying to download some Prurient or Discordance Axis i'm fine.... it'll be when i jokingly go to download "invisible touch" that the cuffs'll come on... does anybody on the list (if such a person exists on earth) have an idea about what the situation really is? i imagine they're going after bootleggers directly. it's hard not be paranoid about such things these days...
