There are actually non-lethal weapons being developed that operate in the Sub 100 Hz area. Using a tubular resonating chamber driven by quickly pulsed natural gas combustion (instead of a magnet and coil), they are about the size of a small anti tank rocket tube and can sit on a tripod and be aimed at rioting hordes. Once triggered, it creates a effect area cone for several hundred feet directly in front, and anyone in this zone is apparently taken over by the urge to eject the contents of both stomach and bowels *instantly* and fall on the ground with incapacitating nausea. Not the kind of bass you want to boogie to on a hot date but it shows that bass can be used for both good AND evil :) I cant wait until Bose makes a home version! ernie Ernesto Ikerd, (817) 763-4795 Company Graphics, Dept 17, MZ-1156 Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems Fort Worth, Texas
