I'll put my vote behind Talib Kweli & DJ Hi-Tek - Train Of Thought as one of the best albums of the year by far. Also if you havn't heard it Deltron 3030 - Self Titled is one of the best albums I've heard in a long long time. The Automator + Del + Kid Koala is the best thing since The Automator + Kool Keith + Q-Bert. Oh yeah. IDM content. Uhhh, the Requiem For A Dream Soundtrack rules all. Ummm Xen Cuts? Fila Brazillia - Brazillification kicked my ass, but only Disc 1. What was with the bad rendition of their Theme From Great Cities remix? The original is so much better. And Nightmares On Wax - Dj Kicks is pretty good. Wow. Mainly compilations. Kinda says something about the year. Oh well. New Wagon Christ next year. Whee. And Stop The Panic was pretty decent. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Squarepusher - Squarewindow (even though it sounds like ripping of Aphex Twin, he's been doing that to Tom for years) Telefon Tel Aviv - Map Of What is Effortless (minus the vocals, did they pay someone to suck?) Meat Puppets - Classic Puppets (whats better than a best of the meat puppets in the 80's) Tom Waits - Real Gone (this is the second CD i've heard this year with beatboxers and it kicks ass) Bjork - Medulla (It's interesting for the fact that it has Mike Patton featured on the album, he's so bad ass, I wish Mr. Bungle would get back together) Ramiro Musotto - Sudaka (This was released last year but i still can't get over it) Amon Tobin - Recorded Live (worth it for the mix of Verbal and Jurrasic 5) Dj Spooky - Dubometry (could do without the reggae, DC 4 EVA!) --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Send a seasonal email greeting and help others. Do good.

I've just always looked at it as being that the big 3 influenced each other - mu-ziq, Aphex, and Squarepusher. You see certain ideas run through all their songs at various times that may not get released for a while. "Mr. Angry" by mu-ziq is a prime example for me. The whole "I'm the fucking daddy" thing was another. Cylob's in there somewhat to a lesser degree. I'd love to see these guys collaborate more/again, but I think Mike and Rich II ain't gonna happen because of the lawsuit that Mike had to do against Rephlex. But maybe they're still friends, what do I know. -- The best show killed by Cartoon Network/Adult Swim: Home Movies. Season 1, Out on DVD - November 16th. http://homemovies.toonzone.net/DVD.html (Entertainment Weekly endorsed it after it was canceled - what does that tell you?) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

yeah i noticed that when i saw the "come on my selector" video. also that jenkinson's CHAOS AD sounds and vibe are reeeeally close to james' CAUSTIC WINDOW and AFX vol.3 stuff. d. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
