Hi there IDMers. I'm looking for a dependable mail-order service to get the basic FAX/ R&S/Apollo / Rephlex / etc... on vinyl and CD. I was told of a service in Florida called "Underground Records" that is supposed to be able to get ANYTHING on ANY format you wish. Is this true? Has anyone tried them? And... Anyone know their address? Life without WATTS is depressing... someone help me... please... On another note - I front a band called Not Breathing... we put out experimental IDM/Drug Sludge... we have a 7"(clear blue vinyl) and three 90min demos.... email me for more information... don't want to waste bandwidth on advertisments... dave wright not breathing

There's an ad for a company in the back of the latest Option magazine that is mailorder only and deals in industrial and techno only. I lists labels such as Extreme, Zoth Ommog, FAX, Harthouse, R&S, Warp, Rising High, Recycle or Die, etc. All it says at the top of the ad is Modern Music Mail- order at 410-523-1882. Does anyone know anything about them? Rox

It says "we stock tons of techno compilations" under that list of labels you typed in. There's another couple of lists. One underneath the word industrial (they spelled Psychic TC instead of TV, heee heee) and one underneath techno that lists artists like Aphex Twin, B12, Beaumont Hannatt, Black Dog, CJ Bolland, Dreamfish, FUSE, Jam & Spoon, Moby, Orb, Plastikman, Reload, Sabres of Paradise, Sven Vath, etc. My point being that I'm not so sure if they carry in stock everything by those labels you listed.. especially not by a label like FAX that releases upto three CDs every week sometimes. It's in Baltimore I think, but definitely in Maryland. I stopped by once last summer. It's a CD store downstairs and a decent 12" shop upstairs.
