Tackhead
Yeah, Tackhead are/were The Shit. I've been trying to work "The Game" into a
set but it's incredibly slow and swung hard as hell. Too bad, cos it's the
funky screaming electronic funk shit. Keith LeBlanc (drummer for Tackhead) is
still one of my percussion heroes. The way he mixes electronics and actual
playing is incredible. He blurs the lines. His best solo album is called
"Stranger Than Fiction" and would probably turn a lot of IDMers on.
Tackhead/Adrian Sherwood and the related On-U Sound crew are some of the
founders of the school of IDM. Along with Kraftwerk & Detroit & Berlin they're
what you would call a seminal influence...
