I don`t know about the Caustic Window stuff: OK some tracks are good
(especially the l;ast one on Joyrex 5) but you`ve got to admit a lot of them
are pretty dodgy. The Polygon Window album is the most amazing work he`s
done, it`s so advanced and futuristic.
What I`m getting into is Japanese techno like Ken Ishii (check out EPs on
Plus 8, R&S and Apollo, and an LP on R&S), hard acid from the Underground
Resistance HQ (Acid Rain, Seawolf etc), Jeff Mills, Red Planet, EXperimental
from NY, Dan Curtin on Peacefrog, Reload and so on and so on.
Those of you who live in Britain: I recommend you buy Mindfood magazine
which is dedicated to ambient/electronic listening music. You can get it in
London in almost every independent record shop (ie Rough Trade, Selectadisc,
Ambient Soho etc), Warp in Sheffield and some other places.
