hello. this is to inform the internet world of the newsgroup analogue heaven.
the lowdown:
--------------o
the list still frequently discusses analogue synthesizers and drum
machines/percussion boxes, modular analogue systems, sync and control voltage
convertors, and even some fm and digital sample synthesis. along with this,
there is frequent discussion of programming techinques, items for sale, and
even an analogue sample cd and list tape project (separate from each other.)

there is an ftp site available at cs.uwp.edu. simply type "ftp cs.uwp.edu" and
log in as anonymous, then type your e-mail address for a password. then, you
may look in either: pub/music/lists/analogue, or for the latest information,
try pub/incoming/lists/analogue, as this is where the most recent files go to.
right now, it is being updated for new information on a three day basis, and
the files are transferred to the other directory usually once a week.
in addition to this, there is a telnet connection that my friend brian
behlendorf welcomes you to. telnet to sfraves.stanford.edu 7283 or 7282, and
then you must type in a verifiable e-mail address, but once you log on, you
may encounter the regulars, and the newcomers. frequent is discussion of
synthesizers, music, and just whatever. i call many people on here my good
friends, so i recommend it.
i hope you enjoy it. thanks!
