and to make this point further, I want to let you all know that PLAID is coming back to town on ***Fri. Jan. 18
This time around, it is at Nectar Lounge in Fremont. As many of you know, Nectar has been hosting more electronic music shows of late and they have been going off!!
The high celing and large back wall will be perfect for Bob Jaroc's video presentations and the new sound system will make Plaid's music really breathe. If you have not caught these British legends, you really owe it to yourself to check out their live set. When they came to Neumos last year, it was easily one of my all time favorite shows. I am a little biased because I love Plaid so much, but it really was good!!! Plaid were an early staple of the Warp label out of the UK. Along with their breatheren Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and Luke Vibert, these gentlemen have been pushing the envelope of electronic music for close to 20 years in both their work with The Black Dog and as Plaid.
This time areound our good friends Truckasauras will be playing right before them with Introcut and Nordic Soul (live!!!) filling out the bill.
Really an amazing weekend night in Fremont!!! Not to be missed for sure.....
