Hey guys, I ran a mailing list archive site that was taken down around January or so - I switched hosts and never put in the time to migrate all the data over. But it is back up as of tonight, including the idm-making archives. It's a shame that the idm-making list is no more, I tried contacting the admin to no avail. I do have email addressess for everyone who ever posted to idm-making, I could look into setting up and hosting the list myself and sending out an email to previous posters asking them to rejoin. Or perhaps the list could be hosted at hyperreal? At one point when idm-making had to make it's first move, I suggested hyperreal, but it wound up landing at ampfea. At any rate, I've talked about hosting it at hyperreal with Brian B. before, so I'm sure he'd be glad to host it again. I don't know if everyone who has ever posted to it should be re-subbed, but perhaps we could assemble a list of those posters and send them an invitation to join it at it's new home. Sounds fine to me. Will someone volunteer to be list owner/moderator? I'm idm listowner as clickpop kind of dropped off... it's not a big burden, just approving posts from non-subscribers and the like. http://www.dogsonacid.com/ is the next best thing after the demise of the dnb list. i don't frequent that forum but the name comes up often when this discussion arises. personally i like the passive nature of an mailing list of a forum. no digging :) Shimone @ Staticbeats On 10/6/07, TTL Skillet III <digitalskillet@gmail.com> wrote:

The Grid forum @ DOA is dedicated to production, so that's always worth snooping around in for some tricks. You'll have to dig through some crap to find the real gems though. When it comes down to finding some new sample packs that is also a good place to start. -- "progress doesn't come from early risers progress is made by lazy men looking for easier ways to do things" http://n3wjack.net http://www.jungletrain.net - 24/7 dnb radio station
