it makes it difficult when they don't put any sort of information on the label. the only information is the label name (only legible if you're already familiar with the logo), and the cat# etched into the runout groove. judging by the basicchannel.com pages on the M series, they use O for the A side and Ø for the B side, i.e. BC-03 is the A side and BC-Ø3 is the B side. and the page on BC-03 lists the tracklist as the A side being "loyt rmx" and the B side being "phylyps rmx". the only problem is that on the Basic Channel CD, track 6, "(loyt remix) edit" corresponds to the music on the B side of the 12", while the title on the site would put it as the A side. confusion ensues. the site is not perfect, though, as the page for RSD-1 used to have the tracklist in reverse order of what it should have been (seems to have been corrected), and one page for a Wackie's album has (or had) the tracklist doubled, with each song on twice. the Discogs page and http://www.circonium.de/music/bc.html both have the same track order as the basicchannel.com page so what am i supposed to believe? i think it's just another case of the basicchannel.com page being wrong. -- -schrock- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
