Hello there!
Because there are some good people here on this forum, I'd like to invite
everybody here to go to check out a foundation I run called "Backspace",
on www.backspace-event.com.
Backspace is a foundation (based in the Netherlands) that works as the
means to bring together the good people that work in the field of what I
call 'underground electronics' (the more experimental electronics, Idm,
breakcore, electro, tekno, ambient, downtempo etc.). These are artists,
people from other organisations, from labels, etc., with wich we do all
kinds of projects, at the moment mainly based in the Netherlands.
These projects range from arranging performances for artists in the clubs
and venues to an underground music festival (scheduled in sept. 2006). We
also do little jams, parties, workshops, seminars and get-togethers for
the people in our network, in order to learn from eachother and by wich we
hope to stimulate each-others creative forces.
On our website we offer people the means to get to know eachother through
a forum and extensive links-list. So if you read this and are at all
interested in what we do, please go and register to the forum and join our
network.
You people here at the idm-list are the first to check out and test our
new site, and if all's well and working properly we'll send out a mail to
more than 2000 professionals working in the underground field of
electronics, inviting them to join our network as well.
I hope that from the gathering that results from this we'll be able to
help and promote eachother and realise those kind of projects and events
we all dream of.
Greetings and good things,
Jurn.
