Does anyone know what happened with Warp's Arcola series? Warp hyped the new label at the beginning of 2004, but then they just stopped with ARC 06. Sorta similar to the SMAK series - a new single every other week. Yeah, I dug the SMAK stuff. Got the 12"s, got the little CD wallet... and now there are those two poor orphan 12"s that don't have a CD compilation to call home. And a CD wallet that'll never have more than two CDs in it, most likely. Oh SMAK. We hardly knew ye... And speaking of Arcola, are the two Cane 12"s that came out on Colony as good as Teknotest? Worth tracking down? I try to order all Skam releases from their own shop, but I couldn't find the Cats compilation there at any point. Nevertheless, I got mine through Boomkat a while back. I haven't paid too much attention to it after the first listen-through, there are highlights but all-in-all the material sounded a bit too varied. A few more listens needed, perhaps. Yeah I liked those Arcola series, especially that Milanese release, and Denis Rusnak. Hopefully they will release some more of those records.
