???? Vampire Rodents made some wonderful sounds incorporating classical music into an ebm sound. And their Ether Bunny project was big band fun.

Dave made some wonderful tapes, and his latest focus on self-made electronics are a bit more interesting than standard drum machine fare.

Two releases. Though I will admit I paid extra for the Japanese version to avoid the Cleo label.

Excellent stuff in its day on Zoth Ommog, though the US re-issues had terrible covers. Cleopatra was/is mainly a licensing/re-issue label. Invisible was good in its day, though recent releases are just to cash in. Wax Trax! and Zoth Ommog were the best for EBM though. (Vampire Rodents were on Reconstriction and Fifth Column.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Not really. imo, they suck.

Boring ~and~ trite. They were one of the 'must avoids' on Zoth Ommog, which had very, very few 'must haves'. New Zone had much better stuff, and were the best of the Music Research sublabels: http://www.discogs.com/label/New+Zone

The term 'EBM' didn't even exist when Wax and Zoth releases what turned out to be their best releases. Actually, what Wax released in the early days - Front, etc. - was mostly referred to as 'Industrial'. seek np: Regular My Friends and I - mixed by Jaumetic + Sergei (Regular) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

A lot of the early Wax Trax stuff were re-issues, ala Front. Ministry were an original act for Wax. Remember, 'Everyday is Halloween'? Where did he go wrong? Probably when he started doing the heroin. I'm just waiting to hear the news on him. Actually a ton of old industrial acts.. Maybe its a race to see who can die first.. actually, the latest news on him that I've heard is that the latest ministry is something of a return to form. what form, I couldn't tell you, as I'm tired of checking out ministry releases everytime someone says the latest doesn't suck eggs, only to find out that it really does suck eggs. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I don't know... but that black nailpolish & fedora look that he was sporting on those early Arista releases (ever seen the picture sleeve for I Wanted To Tell Her?)... I think he was a bit of a mess from the beginning. Twitch is phenomenal... and it may be blasphemy, but I think Filth Pig is far better than Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste. The Fall is an incredible track... and the Lay Lady Lay cover is pure tits. _________________________________________________________________ Powerful Parental Controls Let your child discover the best the Internet has to offer. http://join.msn.com/?pgmarket=en-ca&page=byoa/prem&xAPID=1994&DI=1034&SU=http://hotmail.com/enca&HL=Market_MSNIS_Taglines Start enjoying all the benefits of MSN?
