labels, one of the very first independent music organisations in
Russia - Citadel Records. Founded in 1997, Citadel has released a
number of quality electronic albums and compilations, delivering the
works of such artists as Alexandroid, Moscow Grooves Institute and
That Black amongst others, to Russian electronica fans. Since its
launch, Citadel Records has made a massive contribution to the
development of Russian electronic scene, with every release being
eagerly awaited by its audience.
All of the Citadel titles are quite diverse, stylistically ranging
from classic ambient and electronica to downtempo and house, each
record being unique and interesting in its own way. At the moment the
company is more active than ever, with exciting new electronic albums
from Ula and Dub Chairman, and a recently released two volume
collection of experimental sound from the critically acclaimed
avant-garde composer Mikhail Chekalin. Now Electrosputnik gives you
an opportunity to explore and enjoy the music of the various
