Hey people I'd like to know if anyone of you has been at a show of mochipet here in germany last couple of days. I've been there and I didn't like it very much. But as he was not alone I could at least enjoy the other liveacts. Any opinions? Its not that I didn't care for him. I've been there watching the whole show. But maybe I should have asked someone before going there (or at least trying to get a listen to his music). I was expecting something different, not that chaotic. Well in his way the music it very unique and I suppose one likes it or one hates it. There's no between, like a binary code. But I really didn't like the polka-like style of his music. I'm more into spheric sounds, great minimal melodies and great beats with the well known blips and bleeps, touching my sense of emotional sounds, making me able to dance and just feel happy about that special piece of artwork I'm listening to in that right moment. But with mochipet this didn't happen. It was just like listening to it, trying to understand it (wich is indeed very difficult) and how it might be made, but there was no part reatching my emotions if you know what i mean... Mochipet samples everything under the sun and puts some ridiculously fast beats to it. It's sorta like video game breakcore mashups, sometimes with springy sqweaky cartoon sounds, sometimes noisier. Certainly not everybody's cup o' tea, but I love that stuff.

Yes exactly. Thats what he was playing here too. Maybe I just had too much of it during my chidhood :-) Did you see the other liveacts (here it was geroyche and vio-lat-cen)? What did you think about them?
