I remember there being something called IMMA or whatever - i even have a song up there, i think, but I can't find the site or remember what it was actually called. help? I'd like to start up my own website sometime this year, but until then i'd like to be able to have stuff online. any solutions? I know ampcast is kind of popular, but they charge too much $$$... __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New Yahoo! that won't be up until next year sometime. why go through them? or anyone else? at one time you could say it may have provided more exposure because everybody had heard of mp3.com, but now, as then, that's debateable. last time i looked at the old site, the noise level was so high, you still had to fight to be noticed, or (what they really wanted ) pay for priority placement. or just pay to have more than 3 songs up. my suggestion is to wait, get a good website going, and just put your music or soundclips there. d. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

You can always upload mp3s to Glowdot ( http://www.glowdot.com )and point people there, if you just want a place to host for downloads... We're actually working on a mp3.com type system (without the BS) right now. A little bit like electronicscene.com without all the trance and house, if you get me... In the meantime though, we are hosting downloads. (plus anything we like gets added to the Dreamscape playlist) V, ~Rick Strom http://www.glowdot.com http://www.rick-strom.com (-- Dreamscape Radio: HIFI: http://radio.glowdot.com:8000/listen.pls LOFI: http://radio.glowdot.com:8400/listen.pls --) -----Original Message----- From: chthonic streams [mailto:chthonic@chthonicstreams.com] Sent: Saturday, December 27, 2003 11:08 AM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: [idm] mp3 hosting...

i'm just curious how you would describe this kind of music. i've been sort of obsessing over it for quite some time now because it just blows me away. i guess i'm just not quite sure why. i'm not sure i understand how it works. so how would you describe this to someone who had never heard it before so that they would have an accurate picture? thanks to any and all who feel like grappling with this very specific idea, :justin --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

"pulse ambient" might be a quick term to describe this music. If you like Gas and Polmo Polpo, be sure to check out Yagya's "The Rhythm Of Snow". www.discogs.com/release/31061 Portis ----- Original Message ----- From: :m. zero To: idm@hyperreal.org Sent: Sunday, January 04, 2004 6:34 AM Subject: [idm] gas, polmo polpo, etc. i'm just curious how you would describe this kind of music. i've been sort of obsessing over it for quite some time now because it just blows me away. i guess i'm just not quite sure why. i'm not sure i understand how it works. so how would you describe this to someone who had never heard it before so that they would have an accurate picture? thanks to any and all who feel like grappling with this very specific idea, :justin --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
