LOL, Vegas, IDM scene....
We are gonna launch regardless now. We had 2 venues taken from us
because our music was far too, oh how did they put it, such a quaint
delivery..."horribly un-musical". F-um, we are gonna do it. Any Vegas IDM
heads that are ready, please join us. We have 5 acts already, all amazing
musicians, and we can use ANY OTHERS THAT ARE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE!!!!
Seriously though, anyone in(or out of) Vegas that is willing to help, IN
ANY FORM.....PLEASE PARTICIPATE. We will need it. We need artists, we need
people to bring friends to venues, people to spread the word, etc. Now is
the time, lets destroy this cities fragile interpretation of what they
believe music is....in this touristically hedonistic wannabe Ibiza!
The Krew I roll with is from the old school, I guarantee 3/4 of the IDM
list will have heard of us within the next year....If anyone knows of the
old Hekla's Selection scene with Cex/606/Maru Mauri/RKK/etc... You will be
blown away by what we have been creating for over 5 years now, and are only
finally ready to show it. We've been hiding it..waiting to get out of this
city first, not wanting this artistically desolate city to claim us as its
own, but fuck it...lets do it, lets change it here, lets make the DJ's who
cant even BEAT MATCH PROPERLY..with their "shinky nipple" shirts...their
need to cal themselves artists above all others...lets show them that there
are some real artists here, not another bunch of misinformed artisans.
LOL, I still remember when Kid 606 and I had a flame war in the news on
"HS" like 5 years ago... I have only been sharing info on our label over
the years with the likes of Hrvatski, Hekla, and a very short list of
others. And even fewer have ever heard the music, LOL, we have like 23
albums done.... In fact, I bet none of you have ever heard the tracks I
personally did for RKK13, things will change soon. Now is the time to
launch it fellow vegas-ites...Please help us, or let us join up together,
whatever, lets just do this properly. We mustn't look like some lackluster
bunch of unorganized branches if we want to enlighten the ever so blind
masses here, and keep a scene alive.
Again, please help, please participate, or this will fail....if you aren't
from Vegas this might sound like a joke...it isn't...independent culture is
constantly fought here...its a threat to the easily controllable, yet
extremely trite entertainment that is prepared for the tourists. Lets show
them we aren't some underclass bunch of wannabe DJ's that just want to get
laid for our ability to brownnose.

P.S. This, especially in retrospect, after reading it...is a damn odd email
to send to the list, but hey, F-it, its like a sign that this was brought up
when it was, I had to send this on behalf of all the artists on MFi.
P.P.S. I know "touristically" isn't a work, but if you lived in Vegas you'd
be making up words too, THERE IS A WAR AGAINST CULTURE HERE...LETS Fight
