hate to ask here, but does anyone know of EXCITING EVENTS occurring in the san francisco area on new year's eve? i have a friend coming in from LA who i've promised a good party, but i cannot find anything that seems promising. i would love good music, i would love an underground setup... i would not love a club with trance in it. somebody help me out! ;) j --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

:( it's funny because it's true... however, last time i stayed in on NYE i managed to glue my girlfriend's eye closed with crazy glue. long story. don't ask. not good. so ever since that day, it has seemed good luck to "go out", even if i have to wrestle with frat boys and bring my industrial strength earplugs. last year i went to a nice warehouse thing thrown by the lovely cloudfactory people, but none of the usual suspects i know of are having an event this year.... j On Thu, 26 Dec 2002, dave_dunstan wrote:

The only thing I know of is this anon salon burningmanish party. These guys always throw good events and the crowd is for the most part fun and creative. The music goes from new school brakebeat to house to experimental electronica to drum and bass to strange accordion lounge music. There should be live acts, bands, djs and some dance and multimedia performances. It is a bit expensive though which you can expect for anything going on New Years Eve. ==============================================================ANON SALON reanimatesSEA OF DREAMS 03 - fanta-see------------------------------------------New Year's Eve - Tuesday, December 31, 20028:30pm-4:30am @ The opulent REGENCY CENTER PLUS the psychelegendary AVALON BALLROOM1300 Van Ness @ Sutter St., SF ONE Epic Event, FOUR Mythic Ballrooms, THREE Ultra-Chill Zones & a MULTITUDE of Dreamscape Performances, Installations & Environments. uhm, i plan on sitting at my home in the mission with some friends and drinking Fernet and playing board games because you can't pay me enough to go into a bar/club in san francisco on new years eve. due to the make up of the bay area, san francisco turns into one big frat party with the bridge and tunnel crowd covering every inch of the city. so i suggest you either, come to my house, go to vegas, stay home. -kiya iamacopierltd. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
